Grant Gartland is a Minnesota born and raised media professional living and working in the Twin Cities. He began working as a televison cameraman for local educational access station Bloomington Educational Cable Television over 15 years ago. From there he has continued to learn other areas of video production including on-air graphics design and playback, audio mixing, instant replays and most notably live event directing. He also learned field reporting and editing in a newsroom setting during his time with the local broadcast news station while going to college at Bemidji State University. During this time he has worked with Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop and the Grass Valley Kalypso production swticher.
Grant has expanded his skills to include digital photography and web-design (such as this site) He currently works for Tightrope Media Systems in St. Paul, MN as a trainer for the Carousel Digitial Signage system and as well as the ZEPLAY Broadcast Instant Replays system, which is installed worldwide in mobile production units and most commonly in Division I stadium control rooms.
